HMT to offer employees company bikes

Rhede, February 2, 2023 HMT allows its employees to use high-quality rental bikes and e-bikes with immediate effect.

With the JobRad leasing offer, HMT wants to promote the health of its employees in a special way. “Anyone who regularly cycles or e-bikes is less stressed in everyday life and has been proven to get sick less,” says HMT Managing Director Bernd Hebing. “With the new mobility offer, we are actively contributing to keeping our employees healthy.”

Company bikes as an employee benefit

Bernd Hebing continues: “As a modern employer, we know how important attractive benefits are for motivating employees and keeping them in the company.” Therefore, the possibility of inexpensively obtaining your own company bicycle from the employer also contributes to further increasing the attractiveness of HMT as an employer. Finally, the company would like to contribute to air pollution control and traffic relief through sustainable mobility management.

This is how the company bike leasing offer works

HMT staff can find the right bike for you at your local bike shop or online. All manufacturers and brands are possible. The employer then rents a bicycle and gives it to the employee for use. In return, the company takes a small part of the employee’s monthly gross salary and uses it to service the lease payment. The company bike is insured and can also be used in your free time. This gives the employee a monetary benefit which, as of January 1, 2020, is only taxed at 0.25% of the bike’s list price. In this way, the employee saves significantly compared to the traditional purchase of a bicycle.
